I recently had my first trip in 2023 on Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas, a 5-day, 4-night cruise from Singapore to Penang and Phuket. If you’re planning your first trip on Royal Caribbean, below are some useful information for pre-cruise.

Thailand Visa on Arrival for China Passport Holder
If you hold a Chinese passport, you don’t need to apply for a visa before the trip. Royal Caribbean will take care of your visa arrangements. You will only need to fill in a form provided by them during the sailing date, and they will handle the rest. Although the website states that you need two passport photos, Royal Caribbean did not ask for them during our check-in. It’s recommended to bring passport photos just in case.
Do you required The Key?
For our case, as we do not need Internet and our trip is 5D4N, we did not get The Key. We are still able to try out all the complimentary activities and watch all the performance. You may want to consider if your trip is shorter so that you can try out all the activities without spending too much time queueing.
